चीनले भन्यो ‘नेपाल र चीनको मित्रवत सम्बन्ध हिउंजस्तै पवित्र र हिमालजस्तै विशाल छ’
काठमाण्डु– चिनियां विदेश मन्त्रालयका प्रवक्ता झाओ लिजानले सगरमाथाको नयां उचाइ मानवीयताको नयां उचाइ भएको टिप्पणी गरेका छन् । बेइजिङमा बुधवार आयोजना गरिएको नियमित पत्रकार सम्मेलनमा चिनियां विदेशमन्त्रालयका प्रवक्ता लिजानले सगरमाथाको उचाईको समाचारले नयां आशाको संचार गरेको भन्दै खुसी व्यक्त गरे । उनले मंगलवार घोषणा गरिएको सगरमाथाको नयां उचाइ नेपाल–चीन सम्बन्धको नयां माइलस्टोन भएको प्रतिक्रिया समेत दिए ।
संसार नै कोरोना भाइरसले अति प्रभावित भइरहेको समयमा सगरमाथाको नयां उचाइको समाचारले आशाको संचार गरेको भन्दै उनले धेरै प्रतिकुलताका बाबजुद दुवै पक्षले विगत एक वर्षमा कठिन काम सम्पन्न गरेको बताए ।
उनले चिन इकोलोजी र वातावरणको संरक्षणलाई सुदृढ बनाउन र अन्य अनुसन्धानका क्षेत्रमा नेपालसंग सहकार्य गर्न तयार रहेको धारणा राखे ।
लिजानले यो वर्ष दुवै देशहरुबीच कूटनीतिक सम्बन्धको ६५ औ बार्षिकोत्सव मनाइएको भन्दै दुबै पक्षको संयुक्त प्रयासको साथ, बीआरआई सहयोग निरन्तर रुपमा प्रगति भएको धारणा राखे । नेपाली पक्षले उल्लेख गरेझै नेपाल र चीनको मित्रवत सम्बन्ध हिउंजस्तै पवित्र र हिमालजस्तै विशाल रुपमा विकास हुने अपेक्षा समेत गरेको उनले पत्रकार सम्मेलनमा बताएका छन् ।
उनले कोभिड–१९ ले अझै पनि विश्वभर भयावह अवस्था सिर्जना गरिरहेको भन्दै अन्य मुलुकहरुले नेपाल र चीनको जस्तै राम्रो विश्वासका साथ सहकार्य गर्ने हो भने भाइरसलाई पराजित गर्न सजिलो हुने विश्वास व्यक्त गरे ।

The new height of Mt. Qomolangma stands as a new milestone for China-Nepal friendship. This year marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. With the concerted efforts from both sides, BRI cooperation has steadily progressed and the vision of the trans-Himalayan Multi-Dimensional Connectivity Network substantiated. As the Nepalese side noted, our friendly relationship will develop to be as pure as snow and as majestic as the Himalayas.
The new height of Mt. Qomolangma symbolizes the new height of China-Nepal cooperation. The confirmation of the rock height of Mt. Qomolangma is a result of the collaboration and hard work of the teams on both sides over the past year against all odds. I give thumbs-up for them. The Chinese side stands ready to continue working the Nepalese side to advance cooperation on ecological and environmental protection and scientific research of the mountain and safeguard this precious asset and homeland shared by the two peoples.
The new height of Mt. Qomolangma demonstrates the new level of human spirit. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the first successful climb to the top of Qomolangma on its northern slope. The announcement of the new height represents mankind’s courage and strength to explore and understand the world and pursue and realize dreams. No matter how high Mt. Qomolangma is, it can be climbed. No matter how great the difficulty is, it can be overcome. COVID-19 is still wreaking havoc around the world. As long as countries work together in good faith as China and Nepal do, we will finally defeat the virus.
