काठमाण्डु – नेपाल खुला विशवविद्यालयमा अब किरात सम्बन्धी छुट्टै विषयमा पढाई हुने भएको छ । एनओयुले हाल औपचारिक रुपमा समाजशास्त्र संकाय अन्तर्गत स्नातक तहमा किरातसम्बन्धी कोर्स समावेश गरेको हो ।

भाषाविद तथा त्रिभुवन विश्वविद्यालयका प्राध्यापक डा. तारामणि राईले समाजिक सञ्जालमार्फत खुला विश्वविद्यालयमा ‘किरात स्टडिज’ कोर्स समावेश गरेसंगै स्नातक तहमा किरातसम्बन्धी छुट्टै विषयमा पढाई हुने जानकारी दिएका छन् ।

उनले एनओयुको अनुरोधपछि उनीसहितको विज्ञ टोलीले करिब दुई महिना लगाएर किरातसम्बन्धी १६ वटा पेपरको ‘कोर्स कन्टेन्ट’ तयार गरी बुझाएको र हाल एनओयुले औपचारिक रुपमै उक्त कोर्स पारित गरेको जानकारी दिएका छन् ।

साथै उनले सम्भवतः किराती विषयमा बृहत अध्ययन हुनेगरी बनेको कोर्स यो नै पहिलो भएको पनि उल्लेख गरेका छन् ।
